I used to really like this clothing store because of its great taste in fashion. However, my opinion completely changed after one unpleasant experience.

One day, I visited the store to shop, and a sales assistant I didn’t know was helping another customer. I noticed a dress I really liked hanging near the fitting room. While waiting for my turn to try on clothes, the sales assistant picked up the dress I was eyeing. When I told her I was interested in it, she impatiently snapped, “Someone else is trying on clothes. You should wait.”

I tried to explain that I had been waiting to check the size of the dress, but she glanced at the tag and rudely said, “It’s a size 12. You can’t fit into it.” I felt deeply insulted. However, because I liked the store, I chose not to argue and left without saying anything.

Later, I shared my experience with the store’s Instagram account, explaining what had happened. At the time, I wondered if her behavior was racially motivated. To my shock, their response was even more confused, as shown in the attached screenshot.

This incident left me feeling humiliated and emotionally hurt. I will never visit this store again, nor will I recommend it to any of my friends.

Lovely shop!! Authentic clothing from the 40s-70s. The ladies working was very helpful and friendly. Space is tight but the selection is grand. Note: no photography allowed inside.

This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The lady looked down her nose at me and despite only being a size 12 she told me to not to try the dress on in and insinuated I was not the right size for the shop. This woman should not work with people as she is judgemental, snobby and rude. Please do not visit this shop unless you want to be insulted.
I have never been so shocked and insulted in my life. Absolutely shockingly bad.

Visited with my Son and Daughter a few weeks back. Could not be more impressed with the shop, the selection and the really lovely folks running it the Saturday we visited. Sara and Natty were absolutely brilliant! My Daughter found a fantastic vintage dress that She wore during our Liverpool stop over.

The best vintage shop in London by far, curated selection of vintage for reasonable prices! Staff are friendly and selection is good! Always stop in if I pass by!

My favorite discovery during the day out at London’s vintage stores. Incredible finds of great quality and I love the way it’s organized. Ended up finding a precious pair of shoes for my mother and the ladies there were sweet and friendly. Shopping bag design is gorgeous! So glad I found this place and I’ll make sure to stop by when I’m back in the city 💖
