Used previous the support for eqgle gate operator and all was well. Not this time.
First, asked to troubleshoot, blocking safety eye, once that didn't help, asked to send boad to them. ( New board just bought from dealer). After few days with no no update, contacted and they said they'll looked into it.. few days still no update, contacted supervisor, which said to begin with it was photo eye ul325 that is not compatible with prior board, then why wasn't it troubleshoot at first.
Called twice trying to repory and check what can be done different. None to talk to other then support and supervisor which weren't very helpful to begin with.. 2 last calls were disconnected while waiting on the line.. very unprofessional and frustrating experience.
UPDATE. Board already a week and a half at their factory/lab, and Jose says he's overwhelmed and did not yet got the time to inspect it.

Terrible product and company. Buy any other brand. Had my gate opener for 3 years and the motherboard failed. The company says they no longer manufacture that model and have zero options to help me. Won’t fix it, won’t replace it. They don’t have any suggestions on what to do. Don’t know if it can be rebuilt. Their technical support manager just says “I don’t know”. Then said he’d have someone else call me back to assist. Never heard from them again. Going with another brand. Best to spend the money right the first time. Wish I had known about this company.

I won't discount the other bad experiences others have had; sometimes mistakes are made or an employee is having a bad day.

My experience with the staff at Eagle Gate is over the last three years of owning an Eagle operator and helping a friend with a recent installation. I am a DIYer, not an expert but my contractor friend installed my gates and his own. My experiences have always been exemplary at Eagle. Read on for details.

The only failure for my gate was the malfunction of the safety sensor, probably because it was an older model than the current and faced into the afternoon sun every day for two years. Replacement was my first meeting with Miguel who was helpful and informative, answering all the questions I had and noting future issues (that I fixed using his recommendations) I would have when I told him how my opener operated. No issues in the years since.

Recently, my friend, the contractor, installed a 1000FR after checking with me about its reliability. Unfortunately, his experience with the unit was not the same. It failed to open with the remote unless it was very close, less than ten feet. A few days ago, the gate began opening on its own, a danger to his horses which could escape his property. Also unfortunately, his experience calling Eagle was less than stellar, receiving only the "I don't know" answer from whoever the call was directed to. Living near the factory, I stopped by to ask in-person after hearing of my friend's discontent with all things Eagle.

Miguel (not the person who answered the call) came out, patiently listened to the list of grievances and asked that I have my friend bring in the opener. Next day, upon arrival, the very pleasant office manager asked us to wait and offered us water while Miguel returned. Miguel immediately took us into the factory where he oversaw the disassembly and reprogramming of a replaced main board, although, part of the failure in operation may have been due to our mis-programming. He explained all the details of set up that we didn't know and asked that my friend let him know if the new installation was successful, offering to come out to his ranch, if there were still problems.

So far, everything is perfect. I will be installing a new 1000FR on my other gate soon, comfortable that great service and expertise is available to me and, now, my contractor-friend, who will resume using Eagle for his clients.

No response to questions. I'm a contractor and was interested in installing a eagle operator at my personal home (2000dc) model. Still waiting on a reply to my email. I'll be going with liftmaster now.

Allow me to preface this review by stating that I own my company, and have been installing, and repairing gates, and Gate operators for over 30 years. I primarily provide liftmaster operators, but normally recommend repairing these items as it is more ethical to do so, and more importantly, it helps keep viable products out of our landfills. Thursday oct 21st I received an eagle gearbox from my primary supplier in San diego that I had misidentified (I had ordered the lower gearbox, and needed the upper gearbox). In order to ensure this would not happen again I called eagle directly. In speaking with tech support, they had me send a photo. Wed oct 27th after getting their gearbox shipped to my shop, I went to install it. That's when I noticed that the shaft diameters were different. Miguel tried to tell me it was worn down. I told Miguel that that was incorrect. He argued with me, and I finally got him to listen as I explained that if it were worn down, then the other parts would fir, but instead they had a smaller diameter. Then the general manager saw the photo, and immediately identified that I needed 2 additional parts as they had changed their design. They informed me that it would be Monday before I could get them, and since I can't make my customer wait 5 days without a gate, I drove 6 hours round trip to north l.a. feom San diego, bringing the gear boxes, and parts with me. I had miguel inspect the parts in the back of my service vehicle to again ensure I had everything I needed. Today Friday oct I find out that the bolt diameters are different. I won't be recommending that my customers fix their Eagle operators anymore. I don't want poor tech support, and no accountability for their mistakes.
Photos are Supporting that the shaft was not in fact worn down

A complete box of crap. Has more electrical parts in it than the space shuttle. Nothing but problems with it and its barely a year old. Mine is a slide opener, professionally installed. Avoid these works of art at all costs.

I purchased an Eagle 1000DC slide gate operator in Sept. of 2020 and installed it without an issue. I had thoroughly researched the features prior to purchase and the specs indicated that the gate could be manually stopped during the "open" function if a full open position was not needed. This was done by setting some switches on the control panel. I performed the necessary settings but the gate still ran a full open cycle. I contacted tech support and was informed that this function does not work on the DC models due to programming in the circuit board. I advised them that all the product literature indicated and advertised this function as being available in the 1000DC and that was specific to my purchase. They offered no remedy (upgraded circuit board?) and only apologized for the misrepresentation. Fast forward to December, 2021. A couple of days with little sunlight and my opener froze in the open position. At the time I mistakenly diagnosed it as being a dirty lens on my photo eye. Since I have sunshine 95% of the year and I only operate the opener 1-2 times a day I didn't think it would be a battery issue. It seemed to work fine for several months but in Oct., 2022 it again quit in the open position. I called tech support and was advised to check the batteries. I removed the batteries and tested them with a Schumacher AGM 12v charger/tester. Both tested bad and would not take or hold a full charge. At this point my opener was just over 2 years old. The complete warranty document that came with my unit specifically states that ALL PARTS AND COMPONENTS are warranted for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase. It makes no exclusions for batteries. I contacted Eagle Warranty Dept. and was told that the batteries are only warranted for 1 year, regardless of what the printed warranty indicates. They didn't even offer to pro-rate these batteries toward the purchase of new ones (which cost $125 ea. thru Eagle). I asked to speak with a manager and was told nobody was available but someone would call me back. Still waiting,,, buyer beware.

I’m a tech/installer and when I call tech support to ask for diagnostics support my answer is i don’t know…..no other company answers like this. Every other company would have had me test functions until the source of the issue is obvious. this is why I don’t recommend eagle to any customers and dread calling in for support.
