A Fresh Start is exactly what Dorothy helped me to get. I was overwhelmed with bills and financial issues until I finally decided to get help. Filing bankruptcy was the last thing I wanted to do, but Dorothy made it so effortless and painless. She makes things seem like they’re not as bad as it looks, and if/when something arises within the bankruptcy process, if she tells you not to worry about it, then don’t because she knows what she’s talking about. She is phenomenal.

I would not suggest using Dorothy if you have any type of anxiety issues, or are in a stressful time in your life. I told her about my anxiety issue on our first meeting and she gave me a story about how she has family who works in mental health so she is compassionate and understanding. That sentiment stopped the moment I paid her in full. After that point when I had questions about my case she would tell me she couldn't give specific answers or tell me why she was doing things; I either needed to trust her fully or go elsewhere. I honestly felt stuck with her as I had already paid her in full. Dorothy made me beyond stressed with our interactions as she wanted to say how much "extra" she had done for me and how my issue was making her upset. I felt like my attorney was not on my team. I consistently referred to her as ma'am, yet she would accuse me of being disrespectful for questioning her actions. Dorothy even at one point stated she was worried I would not show up for my bankruptcy hearing because my issues would get the best of me! She would send emails to me telling me how embarrassed and shameful I would look and how the courts would view me negatively if I missed my 341 meeting, yet SHE showed up late for my meeting of creditors at the courthouse! They actually had to skip me in court "because my attorney wasn't present." Talk about embarrassing as she was paid to represent me and show up on time. Her excuse, not apology, for being late to a meeting she knew of in advance, " I forgot there was construction downtown." There is always construction downtown and she goes to that building often; so it was a horrible way for Dorothy to deflect her shortcomings and responsibility as my attorney after drilling me about being respectful and punctual. All of this is proveable, though I'm sure she'll try and bully me about my honest review.

Update: After leaving my review I received an odd email that I was exited out of the credit program she enrolls you in. She states she does that as a courtesy, but the almost 2k you pay her surely covers that course and then some. The course is supposed to be 6 months long, and I was only enrolled 4 months.
