What a gem! We did a girls trip to Rome, followed by a cruise to Turkey, Greece and Italy. We visited 10 cities over 3 weeks and ended our trip with a 4 day stay at the Casale. This ended up being the highlight of our trip! It was a great way to unwind and relax. George our host was so welcoming - we felt like family. The villa is stunning only outshined by the views. We visited small towns nearby and ate amazing local foods. We were lucky to be there for harvest and they let us participate - so much fun! A truly unforgettable experience! We can't wait to go back and stay with George again!

The Casale is a very special place - not only literally in its location and beauty, but in its meaning to me and my family. I recently visited the Casale this fall which was not so much a vacation but a pilgrimage to bring my parents back to a place that was so special to them, their friends and our family.

Back in the early ‘90’s, my parents took their first trip to Italy. My mom being the cook and planner she was, read an article in a Gourmet Magazine about the Casale and decided this would provide a perfect location for the stay. Due to its central location near Rome and many wonderful places of interest, it became command central for all of their trips. Rome, Tivoli, Siena, Florence, Orvieto-all of these places easily accessible. The first trip was such a success, they returned many times introducing different friends and family to the charm of Casale Sonnino over the years.

In 1996, we made our first trip to Casale Sonnino with my parents. All of us-both my sisters and all our children.

I have been to the Casale three times since our first trip, but this fall was my first time back without either of my parents. My mom died suddenly in 2018 and my father after a long illness in 2021. I had their ashes combined as per their wishes and I have been holding onto several small vessels.There are just a few special places that were worthy, and the Casale was one of them. On the last night of our stay, with my husband and George and Claire’s blessing, we sprinkled them around the arbor where so many meals, wine, family and friendships were shared.

There are few places on earth that are as special as Casale Sonnino. The charm comes from the wonderful family and their love for this home and land. The history is incredible and worth a stay for sure. I look forward to our next trip with our children and grandchildren!

Staying at the Casale Sonnino outside of busy and crowded Rome was a marvelous experience. We enjoyed our mornings and evening at the Casale and the property was enormous and private and stunning views every direction. We enjoyed the nearby town of Frascati with great restaurants and shopping and beautiful architecture. George Treves and his sister Claire really enhanced our trip by helping us plan our days activities. I would highly reccommend this property if visiting Rome and nearby towns, we had the most charming time in May 2022 and already planning to visit and stay again.

My family and I stayed at Casale Sonnino for 10 days at the end of August to celebrate our daughters Sweet 16. There were 6 of us, my husband, myself and 4 teenagers. Everything was perfect, Claire and George guided us every step of the way with recommendations and suggestions to help make our trip perfect. In addition the staff at the Casale go above and beyond. They made sure we had everything we needed and more. The breakfast each day and the Sweet 16 celebration dinner that were prepared for us at the Casale was just perfect and absolutely delicious. The grounds are very well maintained. There is plenty of room and the location of the Casale was great. We will definitely be going back. Thank you for making our trip so wonderful and memorable.

We hosted our wedding here in June 2018, and the spot was absolutely perfect. We had around 50 guests, and set it all up outside. Guests were also able to go inside to relax or up on the terrace for a great view. Not only that, but Claire was able to help so much in any part of planning we needed, and while we were there George would do anything to make sure things went smoothly. Such great people as hosts who truly care about their guests! Our guests were saying it's the best wedding they've ever been to, and nothing would top it. It was intimate but fun!

We also had 8 people stay at the Casale which really helped with fine tuning wedding details and not having to stress about leaving. The breakfast they set up is delicious and in a beautiful open room. We were all very comfortable and honestly wished we could've stayed more. We highly recommend it and hope we can return in the future!

I have been traveling to Italy for over 20 years and count my recent visit to the Casale Sonnino Italian Villa as one of my favorite vacations. The villa, a family home, is beautiful on the inside and out. Only thirty minutes to Rome by train, having a car will allow you to visit the Casale's quaint nearby villages. Hosts Claire and George are terrific. Their extensive knowledge of the area's history, restaurants, shops and sites was spot on, allowing our travel group to have an exceptional experience every day for almost two weeks. We can't say enough about our magical stay at the Casale!! We arrived late at night, so we couldn't really see the grounds or even get a good feel for the home, however, when we awoke the first morning......WOW!!
George and crew had a blazing fire in the magnificent living room fireplace, all the Christmas lights were twinkling, the dining room table was beautifully set, and the warm buttery croissants and freshly brewed coffee had our mouths watering. Then you see the view...breathtaking, (out every window) not to mention the rooftop deck.
Speaking of that, if you've never experienced Rome over New Year's Eve, you wouldn't believe it!! We thought we would be enjoying a view of maybe one fireworks display, nope, it was as if the entire city was ablaze!! All we could do was laugh!! We couldn't believe what we were witnessing!! It was unlike anything we had ever experienced!! I would highly recommend this incredible home, I could go on and on, there is so much to see and do. Make sure when booking, if you need a tour guide to ask about Simeone, not only a world class photographer, but the most knowledgeable and interesting tour guide around!!
