Robert took great care of me as I arrived late on a Sunday night. The car was in terrific shape and everything was very smooth. I returned the vehicle very early on a Wednesday morning and a nice woman with long brown hair processed the return quickly and with a great smile. I highly recommend National at Redmond.

They did a great job with giving me a full sized car which was a Nissen Altima. It was wonderfully comfortable and had great car miles. One tank of gas was 550 miles. Who could ask for more. I was lucky since there is just one agent on for their three car rental companies. Even so, the agent on duty took good care of me at check out!

I have appreciated National - their selection of cars, their check-in and -out process. I was disappointed this last time with sticker shock due to the additional mileage charges for the one-way rental we reserved because it could have been part of the “estimate” based on the information for my reservation. So, I didn’t see that no mileage was included in our estimate, and National could provide customers a better “estimate” based on the known information they have for a reservation to prevent “sticker shock”.

UPDATE (11.8.2024): I called and spoke to a rep who helped escalate my issue and gave us a generous discount. 🙏 So, I added a star. ⭐️

My company contracts with National Car Rental for car rentals at airports. So having been on business in Bend for a couple of months, I pick up my rental each week that I fly into the Redmond Municipal Airport.

This airport serves both Redmond and Bend. I think regional airports in general are awesome and this one is definitely on tops!

And the National rental center here is located right as you walk down the entrance ramp into the baggage claim area.

You get to see the same super-friendly staff each week which makes traveling that much easier.

Pick up and drop off in their rental lot is as easy as it gets!

And they offer a wide variety of vehicles which is great especially if they are calling for snow.

Great selection of cars, SUVs, and pickups.

Rented in Sacramento with dropoff in Redmond. Left keys in lockbox at 730am, flew out at 830am. Late in the day, received call that they were extending my reservation because I didn't drop car! Impossible to reach a live person at the location and nearly impossible at customer service hotline. Finally, someone from Sacramento responded to email and let RDM location know the car had been parked and keys returned. An hour later, they closed my rental but charged me for extra hours noting a 500pm dropoff!!! Once again, it's impossible to reach a live person at this location and customer service has been non-responsive. Giving them a generous 3 stars but will not rent from them again.

Do not rent from National Car Rental in Redmond. I made a reservation and prepaid, but when I arrived with my family at 11:30 PM, they informed me that they did not have a car available. I had to wait for two hours, and ultimately, I ended up renting a car from Hertz. I will choose them in the future.

Picked up at LAX mid-evening. Shuttle to National was prompt, upon arrival it literally only took me a few minutes to pick a vehicle from the Emerald Aisle and get checked out. No high pressure, upselling, hidden fees or surprise charges afterwards. Returning was just as simple and straightforward, I was on the shuttle back to the airport within 5 minutes of returning to National.

Pros; quick and easy with prompt shuttle service

Cons; about the only con would be that they're not the cheapest - but then again, I also didn't have to wait in a customer service line for 2 hours just to save $15-$20 day.
