The best company to go hiking with. Great guides, they take you on the path where there are no other tourists. We were a group of coworkers in Vegas for a conference they adjust to any level of experience from beginner to advanced. Every tour is for your group only even if you book alone the tour will be just for you so you can personalize the experience anyway you wish. Everyone in our party just loved the hike- we went to Valley of Fire. We found this company on internet search and didn’t know what to expect – it turned out great, we are very happy we booked with them. This is a small company so sometimes they respond with delays if you call since all of the guides are often out in a field (there is limited to no phone service in the mountains). We found that the best way to get in touch is to send an email not through their website form but from your regular email. But they will contact you a day before your hike as a reminder and to finalize the meeting place. We found them very responsive, reliable, on time and just great people in general. We will be taking more tours with them next time in Vegas. And the hike itself is superb such great views!

My friend and I cannot stop talking about our Take a Hike experience with David. I flew into Vegas from St Louis and my good friend from Milwaukee. We both have been to Vegas multiple times so this week was about relaxing and seeing some music. We booked with Take a Hike to do something physical and to get out of the city.

This hike exceeded our expectations. David customized this hike based on our skills, needs and wants. He’s an expert at the Valley of Fire and we went “off trail” through terrain I’ve never thought I’d be able to conquer. David was a great coach, teaching us how to climb, scale and descend the rocks and it was scary and nerve racking at times for me personally but his coaching built my confidence and I felt very successful in the end. He gave us options on the trail and also gave some great lessons on geography, nature and the history of the area including the cool petroglyphs on the rock formations.

My friend and I were sore for the next couple of days but kept looking back at the photos in awe of what we accomplished.

Any time I go back to Vegas, I will call these guys up to Take a Hike.

I had an amazing time doing the Valley of Fire hike! I chose Take a Hike Vegas because I could choose my starting time, which was perfect for my schedule. Calsey was a wonderful guide and lovely company; it was like hiking with a dear friend. Both Calsey and David were super accommodating even though I booked the hike last minute. David sent me a text the day before to confirm my pickup time and place. Calsey was so knowledgeable and chose a great route for the hike; we encountered few other hikers despite it being a popular trail. The Valley of Fire was so beautiful and this hike was one of the highlights of my trip to Las Vegas. Would absolutely recommend it!

What an amazing experience! We had a wonderful time and our tour guide, Bailey was awesome. She was fun and knowledgeable regarding local plants, animals, and many other topics. Being from out of state, we wanted to get out of the city of Las Vegas for a day and see what the area could offer and Take a Hike Vegas did not disappoint. I would note that our hike labeled Moderate was more difficult than expected, but it was a great challenge and one we will never forget.

I absolutely loved my hiking tour with Take A Hike Vegas! I have visited the city several times before but never had the chance to venture too far off the strip. We booked a tour out to Valley of Fire and it was totally worth the trip! Absolutely stunning. The tour guide will pick you up from any hotel so it is totally easy.

Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. He knew his way around the trails and we even spotted some big horn sheep!

Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to be a little adventures or wanting to see another side of Vegas!

Absolutely loved my hike/tour of the Valley of Fire with David. He was very knowledgeable, prepared (had ice cold gatorade, water and snacks on hand) and friendly! Was able to see a lot of the "highlights" with hieroglyphics and interesting rock formations but he also was able to take off the beaten path as well! The views were breathtaking. I wouldn't think twice about doing this or another tour again next time I'm back in Vegas.

My husband and I met some friends in Las Vegas last month and wanted an outdoor activity off the strip. Our tour guide David took us on a wonderful morning hike to the hot springs at lake mead. He provided transportation and took us to all the best spots for photo ops. Highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Vegas!

I had a wonderful time hiking in Valley of Fire with Take A Hike Vegas. The guide was easy to get along with, and he was very knowledgeable about the terrain. I plan on booking the Lake Mead hike as well.
